Fire Safety Tip of the Month

Now that Fall has arrived, and the Winter Season is fast approaching, the use of wood burning stoves, pellet burning stoves and fireplaces are on the increase. We need to make sure that our heating appliances are in good working order and maintained properly.

We also need to make sure that all smoke detectors & carbon monoxide detectors have been tested and new batteries are placed in them to function properly. Remember, these items alert you and may save your life. Last but not least, can emergency personnel locate your home? Please post your proper address signs at visible locations!

Pioneer Fire Protection District positions fire apparatus strategically through out the fire district to handle situations that maybe encountered due to weather, topography, distance etc. As a local government fire district, we’ve continued to strive for excellence and bringing this agency up to the 21st century in all facets of fire and emergency response.

We continue to actively recruit for volunteer firefighters, and anyone interested in becoming a member of this fire district can do so by calling the telephone number listed above, or emailing us on our website listed above.

Pioneer Fire also has a Fire Explorer/Cadet Program and we encourage students to get invo9lved in program whom may be considering a fire service career in the future.
